On average, Hilo customers collected $135 in rewards and curtailed their energy consumption by 236 kWh during the 2023-2024 season.

During this rather mild winter, we invited our customers to participate in 19 challenges from December to March.

During peak periods, they agreed to reduce their energy consumption to help take pressure off Hydro-Québec’s power grid.

Energy efficiency

Hilo is also a great way to protect the environment. By consuming energy wisely during periods of high demand, we avoid having to import energy from less green sources and free up energy supply for the electrification of transportation, amongst other projects.
